Field Rules

By making a booking for Woodlands Dog Field, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Field Rules below.

  1. Use of the field is by advance online booking and payment only and is specific to the person making the booking. The booking may not be transferred, and subletting of the field is not permitted.
  2. The person making the booking must be present at the field and must ensure that anyone else attending adheres to these field rules.
  3. There is a limit of 6 dogs in the field. You may only bring the number of dogs included in your booking. For your own safety, don’t bring dogs to the field that you don’t know.
  4. A maximum of two vehicles are permitted per booking.
  5. All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations for leptospirosis, parvovirus, distemper and hepatitis. Please have a copy of certificates with you. Your dogs must be wormed regularly and treated for fleas and ticks.
  6. Please do not bring your dog if they are unwell. If your dogs have been unwell in any way during or after using the field, or suffering from a virus eg kennel cough, please inform Clare on 07557 994544 as soon as possible.
  7. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your allocated time slot (each session is 55 minutes) to minimise traffic and allow the previous customers to vacate the site. Please wait in your car until the field is available.
  8. At the start of your time slot, you may open the first gate, drive into the parking space, and close the gate behind you. It will then be safe to let dogs out of your vehicle before entering through the padlocked gate into the field. You may use the padlock while using the field to prevent entry by others. The code for the gate is included on the booking confirmation email. If you did not receive your booking confirmation email then please contact Clare on 07557 994544.
  9. If you arrive late for your slot, you must still leave on time. No extension is allowed for late arrival.
  10. If the customer before you is late leaving the field, please contact Clare on 07557 994544.
  11. It is your responsibility to ensure that noise nuisance is kept to an acceptable level while using the field. There is a horse paddock and cattle field directly beside the dog field; we would not want them to become distressed.
  12. Please discourage your dogs from digging. If damage does occur during your session, please inform Clare 07557 994544 so it can be checked.
  13. Dogs must be supervised at all times. Do NOT leave dogs unattended in the field or tethered anywhere eg fencing, gates.
  14. Harsh treatment of dogs, either physical or verbal, is not allowed.
  15. Please clear up after your dog and dispose of the bagged dog waste into the bins provided in the field. If you do not clean up after your dog, this could result in you being banned from any future use of the field.
  16. Please be ready to leave at the end of your allocated time (5 minutes to the hour) to minimise disruption for the next customer’s arrival. Failure to do so could result in cancellation of future bookings.
  17. When leaving the field please ensure you close the field gate and padlock securely. Please ensure all dogs are safely in your vehicle before opening the car park gate to leave and close the car park gate behind you before you leave the premises, ready for the next customer.
  18. Please take all rubbish with you. There are no general waste bins on site. Dog toys/balls must be removed if brought on to site, even if broken.
  19. We do have public liability insurance. However, Woodlands Dog Field does not accept liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage to persons, dogs, vehicles or property whilst using the facility. If you, any other person attending with you, or your dog(s) sustain any injury while on the premises, you are responsible for any personal or veterinary costs incurred. You are strongly advised to insure your dog for all eventualities. Your vehicle is parked at your own risk, along with the contents.
  20. If you are a dog walker or trainer, you should ensure that you have your own public liability insurance cover. If you would like to use the field on a regular basis for commercial activities, please contact us to discuss availability and regular use arrangements.
  21. You are welcome to use the shelter to keep out of the elements and enjoy the view and a rest!
  22. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
  23. Smoking, BBQ’s and fires are NOT permitted on site in any circumstances.
  24. There is a water drinker in the field for dogs to drink from. Please do not attempt to cool down/wash your dog using this facility.
  25. Please be aware there is no toilet on site.
  26. Woodlands Dog Field staff retain full permission to enter the field in order to carry out inspections or potential maintenance during your booking. We will, however, try and plan this outside of booking slots.
  27. The site is a field with some uneven surfaces and low level branches and vegetation so please take care. With the site being a woodland area, unfortunately we can’t guarantee wheelchair access.
  28. Please be aware that the field is within a working farm. Take extra care when entering and exiting the field.
  29. We reserve the right to refuse admission to, or require the removal of, any person or dog from the site if Field Rules are not followed, behaviour is considered unsafe or we otherwise deem it necessary. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
